[Namibia Hotels and Accommodation]
Epacha Game Lodge is set in the hills just 35km from Etosha National Park. The private reserve of 21 000 hectares shares a northern border with Etosha. It is home to the Black rhino custodian programme and hosts 21 antelope species as well as the endangered Sable antelope.
18 luxurious chalets are clustered around the main lodge with a top of the range health centre. Each of the chalets is individually appointed with antique furnishings and stylish suble colours. Each has a large en suite bathroom as well as outdoor shower and private balcony with a breathtaking view across the bush. Facilities include air-conditioning, minibar, room safe, ceiling fan, telephone, tea/coffee facilities and wireless internet access.
As well as enjoying the Spa, activities on offer include game drives into Etosha or game drives on their own reserve, quad biking and guided walks on the reserve. Clay pigeon shooting and horse trails are also available.
Eagle Tented Lodge is a sister lodge also on Epacha Game Reserve and comprises eight luxury en suite safari tents raised on wooden platforms with private balcony and splash pool. Eagle Tented Lodge comprises two restaurants, main bar, pool bar, swimming pool and Thermal centre for pedicures, manicures and massages.

Kate and Pierre visited Epacha in November: "Epacha lies about 1¼ hours drive from Etosha. We recommend Epacha if you are looking to chill out but we'd book it on a DBB basis rather than FBG. It is somewhat ornate in appearance, but the lodge is attractive and the rooms are spacious and beautifully-decorated in an understated romantic style. The big attraction is the Spa which is fully equipped with several treatment rooms both indoors and outdoors and sauna, steam room, splash pool and small gym area. There are a variety of activities on offer: 2 hour game drives on the reserve (plains species and rhino), full day tours into Etosha, quad biking with a guide around the reserve, horse-riding and clay pigeon shooting.
If staying there I would combine it with driving through Etosha to Mushara for the Etosha game-viewing experience."
