Namibia means 'place of great arid plains'; an apt description of this starkly beautiful land, where gemsbok, springbok, kudu, even desert-dwelling elephants and rhino, roam wild and free. The vast Etosha pan, the shimmering dunes of Sossusvlei and the beautiful, yet desolate, Skeleton Coast make Namibia one of the most exciting and adventurous safari and touring destinations in Africa.

| How to tour Namibia |
|
Namibia offers a wide range of possibilities: a self-drive tour or an escorted one, a fly-in safari to a remote region, or a mobile camping safari. Self-drive is one of the most rewarding ways to explore Namibia’s contrasting landscapes and is very straightforward. Driving is on the left and the excellent road network carries little traffic in this sparsely populated country. However, you must like driving as Namibia is a large country and its beauties are spread throughout the country. Joining our own small group tours is an excellent alternative, as is taking a private guide for all, or part, of your holiday.
