Day 1 : 7 nights, The Heritage Hotel & Spa, Mauritius, Dinner, Bed & Breakfast and non-motorised watersports and activities On arrival in Mauritius, you are met and transferred to The Heritage Hotel & Spa on the Southern Coast.
Mauritius boasts a coral-fringed coastline of white beaches and pretty bays. Inland it is a mix of jagged mountain scenery countered by lush sugar plantations. The island offers long safe, sandy beaches and superb watersports, particularly scuba diving and deep-sea fishing.
The Heritage Golf and Spa Resort is a lush, extensive property on the less developed south coast of Mauritius. The deluxe five star hotel is a marriage of classical and contemporary chic. It?s unique in that it offers a high-end all-inclusive stay: including a daily Seven Colours spa treatment, fine dining in one of the resort?s restaurants, spirits and wine, access to the 18 hole golf course, water sports, entertainment and free scuba-diving.
|
Day 2 : Relaxing on Mauritius for 6 days There are three bars and a choice of four restaurants to cater for the 154 deluxe rooms (52 m²), 5 suites (100m²) and the two bedroom villa (310m²). Most appealing of all is the good stretch of white sandy beach. Sprawling over a further 100 acres of the estate is a Peter Matkovitch-designed 18 hole golf course. Generous guest rooms are decorated with simple lines and all open onto a spacious terrace or balcony, with delightful views. Each has air conditioning, ceiling fan, bathroom with bath and shower, safe, mini-bar, Tea/coffee making facilities, satellite TV and internet access. In the nature reserve behind the resort, guests can enjoy the stunning natural environment in walking, mountain biking, quad biking, guided tours and 4x4 excursions.
|
Day 8 : 4 nights, Ulusaba Safari Lodge, Sabi Sands Game Reserve, Full board and Game drives Today you fly to Johannesburg (Scheduled flight is not included and is quoted separately). On arrival you transfer onto a flight to the Kruger where you are met and transferred to Ulusaba Safari Lodge in the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve.
Under a canopy of trees lies Ulusaba Safari Lodge, a luxurious contemporary camp above a dry riverbed which is a magnet for animals. Here you can enjoy close encounters with game as you laze on your deck. Ten rooms and suites are built on elevated platforms and linked by traditional swing bridges.
|
Day 9 : On safari for 3 days in the Sabi Sands The following morning as the animals rise early, to hunt in the cool of the day, you will generally take your game drive immediately after early morning tea and coffee. The two to three hour drive finishes in time for a late breakfast which will be keenly appreciated after your early morning activity. You relax around the lodge during the heat of the day or take a bush walk with a ranger. The pattern for the rest of the day is similar to the day before with lunch and a late afternoon game drive.
After an early morning game drive and breakfast, you can go on a guided walk into the bush with a ranger, if you wish. This affords guests the ultimate, close-to-the-wild experience, and a chance to focus on the smaller bush inhabitants including birds, insects and butterflies. You can also discover the interesting worlds of trees, grasses, flowers, geology and ecology ? of course, occasionally big game can be seen on walks ? including the Big 5.

Day 12 : 3 nights, Cybele Forest Lodge, Drakensberg Escarpment, Bed & Breakfast This morning, you are transferred to beautiful Drakensberg escarpment to stay at Cybele Forest Lodge, which provides welcome relaxation after the excitement of a safari. This area of tumbling streams and waterfalls amongst indigenous woodland and forest offers scenic drives, relaxing walks and horse riding.
Cybele lies in the heart of 300 acres of forest . It's furnished with antiques and art and relaxation is the main pastime - be it reading on the wide veranda, watching the small wildlife at the forest's edge or taking a leisurely swim in the large secluded swimming pool. However there are plenty of activities on offer with a superb spa and full equipped gym and its own riding stables.
|
Day 13 : Optional tour of the Blyde River Canyon and Pilgrims Rest You may like to enjoy a full day tour of the region - not included in the tour price.
In the morning you take the panoramic drive alongside the magnificent Blyde River Canyon visiting God's Window, Bourne's Luck Potholes and the Three Rondavels. Nearby, gentle walking trails connect a series of beautiful falls. After lunch you take in Pilgrim's Rest, a restored mining village that was the centre of a 19th century gold rush and the town's many preserved houses and museums bring this fascinating history alive. In the late afternoon you return to Cybele Forest Lodge.
Alternatively there are a range of Spa treatments, or walks to enjoy back at the lodge.
|
Day 15 : Return to airport This morning you are transferred back to Kruger International Airport in time for your onward arrangements.
