Greystoke Mahale Fly-In | Tanzania | Western National Parks |
| Mahale Mountains National Park is 1,613 sq km of wilderness and rainforest on the shores of Lake Tanganyika in Western Tanzania. This safari features an informally luxurious retreat in the sanctuary of the remote Mahale National Park, home to the world's largest chimpanzee population. The Mahale Mountains rise behind Greystoke Camp, which fronts the clear waters of the lake. Seventy chimps live in the mountains within hiking distance of the camp, and have become habituated to human presence over two decades. Every day you can trek in the tropical rainforest to observe our closest relatives as they groom, wrestle and forage across the leafy floor. |
